Love reigns supreme
While she refuses to comment on the controversy and Raj Thackeray, Runa goes on to add: "I have been coming to India regularly. And I can say without any inhibition that I always got lots of love and respect, which is extremely humbling! And I can tell you that whenever Indian stars have come to Bangladesh, they are given equal amount of love and respect! Log unhe apni palkon pe bithate hain!"
Bonding with Ashaji
Ask her what kind of bond does she share with Asha Bhosle, her co-judge, and she says, "Earlier, our interaction was very brief. But now, we have met so many times that today we have become like sisters! When she came to Dhaka, she came over to my home for dinner and we sang for hours and generally had a good time. When I went to India, Ashaji cooked prawns and bhuna hua gosht for me and I was really touched! Next time I will have Marathi cuisine made by her!"
My friend, Ganesha
And now that she will be coming to India for the show, what are her shopping plans ? "I think I will bring home an idol of Ganapati! I have a lovely collection of Ganesha idols at home in all shapes and sizes! So, I will add another benign one to that," she says.
